Ridge & Rafter was founded in 2018 by fictional carpenter-builder Eli Mercer after years working across Brisbane character homes and acreage builds. The company grew around a simple observation: clients rarely struggled to imagine the finish. They struggled to see how hundreds of decisions would be connected.
The current fictional team combines construction, pre-construction, site supervision and client coordination. Specialist design, engineering, certification and licensed trades remain independent experts, but their information is gathered through one accountable project rhythm.
Confidence does not require pretending early information is complete.
Verbal conversations become written scope, approval or follow-up.
Good work includes leaving the site and information ready for whoever follows.
